Clinical Supervision for Therapists in Florida
Therapists Seeking Supervision for Florida Licensure
Are you a new graduate registered intern looking for a Qualified Supervisor in Florida?
Congratulations, it’s time to find a Qualified Supervisor!
You have graduated from school and you are ready to take on your first job as a therapist, social worker, or counselor. Some interns may ask…
What are your long-term goals?
If you want to go into private practice for the long-term, it is a good idea to work with a supervisor that is in private practice.
They will be able to provide you with feedback on building a private practice and special considerations in working in private practice.
I have my own private practice and know what it’s like to build it from the ground up.
What are your theoretical interests?
If you have a passion and deep interest in psychoanalytic therapy, you may want to consider getting a qualified supervisor with training and experience in that field.
You want to find a supervisor who is trained in the populations and treatments you will work with.
About Me
Meet Jenny Smith, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience helping individuals heal from trauma and navigate life's most difficult challenges. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and EMDR Consultant-in-Training (CIT)with advanced training in the treatment of complex trauma, including childhood abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence, military trauma, and PTSD.
My therapeutic approach integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Nervous System Resilience to help clients move beyond survival and experience lasting healing.
Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adults, older adults, and military populations experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, isolation, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of trauma. My clinical expertise also includes end-of-life and terminal illness support, grief and bereavement counseling, family relationship therapy, maternal and infant mental health, advocacy for at-risk youth, and life adjustment concerns.
I believe healing happens when people feel safe, understood, and empowered. My goal is to provide a compassionate, trauma-informed space where clients can process their experiences, regulate their nervous systems, reconnect with themselves, and build a life of greater resilience and hope.
